This not-for-profit organization is dedicated to Sameere Conn, he is one of several Chicago Public School students murdered this year.
We are in a state of EMERGENCY! Many of our children lack the necessary resources to succeed. They are in undereducated schools and underprivileged communities, which perpetuates a cycle of gangs, drugs, and violence. We need to address the needs of our children. It is our responsibility as a village to lead them down the right path. We must raise their expectations and reiterate their worthiness. We all have hopes and dreams, but for some it dissipates before it is realized.
My goal is for Hood Hopes to initiate a discussion that will provide real solutions for our future. Please feel obligated to join in this movement.
-Tina Moon
P.S. I created a website for our youth as well, please refer them to Hood Hopes 4Youth .

THANK YOU TOO ALL WHO HELPED MY FAMILY GET THE WORD OUT AND USING SAMEERE AS A ENPOWERMENT. THIS PLACES A SMILE IN MY HEART AND ALLOWS ME TO THINK OF THE HORRIBLE SISTUATION IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT NOW.

I really applaud this website!!! Many of our youth are lost and feel they don't have anyone to turn to other than the street and gangs. The website is the perfect place for our youth to see and go to find alternative ways to get the help that they need and deserve. Keep up the good work and let's show our youth that we as a community and family care!

Peace and Blessings to all,
This is a great organization. Our time is now and we have to include our youth. For so many of them, it is a little inspiration and support, or just to see that someone cares, for them to give it their all.I know this commitment you and your organization have made will bring wonders from the young people you touch.....who knows....you may be inspiring a future President.

Great idea! We need to get the message out.
We can no longer wait for others to save our communities..Our children are dying and our communities are suffering.

This is a great idea for an organization. Hopefully we can save our children and produce productive citizens we will be proud to release into our communities. It really does take a village and if everyone is committed to take a small piece of the responsibility we will succeed.

This is very necessary! I added the link to my "Facebook". It so sad that youth in our city somtime can't even turn to HOME in the time of need, hopefully this organization will provide a much needed outlet for positivity for our young people.

Peace, I applaud what your orginazation is doing, and hope & pray you have much success...As a follower of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad , I know men make things happen. And as soon as blackmen stand up and take control of ourselfs & our family, the community will be much safer, Until then stay focus...Peace

YES, SOMETIMES I FEEL THAT WE LOSE SIGHT OF WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE A CHILD-VULNERABLE AND EXTREMELY IMPRESSIONABLE. IF THERE IS NO ONE THERE TELLING THEM WHAT IS RIGHT OR WRONG, THEY JUST DON'T KNOW. THEY BEGIN TO TAKE ON THE VALUES OF THE STREETS AND TV, INSTEAD OF THE VALUES OF A LOVING FAMILY AND COMMUNITY. PARENTS, TEACHERS, CHURCHES, BUSINESS OWNERS LET'S UNITE BY WAYS OF WEBSITES LIKE THIS ONE, TO TAKE BACK OUR CHILDREN!
LOVE AND PEACE ALWAYS,
MO

You are right! Many of them are not aware that they need help. It is our responsibility to guide them in the right direction, but until we make a commitment to do so, the unneccesary violence will continue to increase.

Many children in our community are lost and don't know how to ask for help! This organizaton is an excellent resource for our youth. Now its up to us as parents to get out there to inform our youth and put it to work.
