Catrell, I agree with your view on men who are M.I.A.,and I also admire your growth. I believe that you can be a light to youth's path, because you have already walked it.
Keep speaking the truth,

Wow...Catrell, I am with you on this. I've had the opportunity to see many strong and courageous women raise boys and girls on their own. My hat goes off to all of the women who tackle the task of raising children on their own because I know they all do their best. Women who struggle to put their emotional voids and stress aside for their children. Women who act selflessly, and neglect themselves just so they can give their all to their children. So I give so much LOVE to single parents.
I've also dated some of the products of a fatherless home...trying to nurture and heal the mental and spiritual wounds inflicted on the unsuspecting victims of abandonment. I've observed, intimately, the pain that lingers due to the absense of a child's other half (b/c it did take two to create a child) and am a witness of how detrimental it is to the individual and to the community.
Men, I know that it takes courage to stand up and raise a child, but please accept the blessing of being a father because producing a child is LITERALLY a blessing from God. And like one of my favorite authors, Paulo Coelho wrote, "Every blessing ignored becomes a curse". So please embrace your children as the miracles that they are.
PEACE, LOVE, MO
